Well everyone, here we are finally at the end game! I’d like to thank you all for sticking around through all the ups and downs and delays, and hope you’ve all had a fun time and we can close this out with a flourish!

So without any further ado:

The Convoy now makes its way to the origin of the apocalypse. To where a massive shard of the moon, known as the Moon Soul lays in the center of a multi-mile crater. The hope is that the Drifters and the Convoy will be able to restore this shard, and undo the worst of the damage. But that won’t happen easily.

Much like in October, we are opening up the traits for ALL MONSTERS to be acquired from different areas/warps inside the crater. We’re also ruling that all creatures from the Bestiary can be encountered here. And the Warp Lands are still active, and can be backtracked to, if you want to wander around the map. Go wild, go silly, do all the stuff you would like to do since we’re in the end game: have a robo-rex vs. T-rexaur battle! Kite a Zolom into the final area, drop a bunch of cars on tonberries, do whatever monster mash you like! It’s a big area with all sorts of oddness going on.

The crater is suffused with smaller moon shards that cause frequent and constant moon warps, as well as numerous Husks that can spawn anything from the bestiary. The landscape itself frequently shifts around, causing elemental chaos, inverted gravity, and the like.

But the worst part is still the remnants of the Steel Wardens and Silver Tears. Or rather, the two speakers/leaders from several months ago, who hijacked the radio waves. They have since deteriorated, absorbing monsters and technology, and have little in their heads beyond stopping the Convoy before it reaches the Moon Soul.

Once there, the Soul itself will need to be healed with a combination of Convoy technology and power from Sigils. Doing so helps start healing the world, and opens a way home for the Drifters, along with pulling changes from those who will it… But there is also an option for characters who choose to stay. Just be wary of any portals that open up to prior events; things can get a little chaotic as balance is restored.

And that’s the rough sketch for the end game! The post itself will be going up soon, with a few extra details tucked in there as well!

Thank you again for playing, everybody, and we hope you enjoy the final event!

Hello everyone, and thanks all for your patience as we enter into the last phases of the game! We have one last Test Drive Meme with this month, doubling with the RP log. (This is largely in case any past players would like to return for the end game!)

It’s likely become clear that Nirvana is only a temporary stronghold; a place Drifters can return to if needed. But there’s trouble brewing beyond the last city. Drifters are being requested to explore it, to see if they can solve the problem… And perhaps get a cure for what ails them, and a way home. Those in Nirvana are confident that at least a few of those answers are located beyond.

There’s two more regions to explore. (Or rather, two and the ability to warp to prior areas due to the quirks of our current zone!) The first is a region known as the Warp Lands.

The numerous moon shards that have dropped in this region have resulted in an unstable landscape. Things are strange out here, including the ability to travel back to prior areas!

The surroundings will also warp to reflect places from Drifter’s pasts: safe places during turmoil (and moon warp storms!) places where something vital was lost, or places of magic. During all of this, there’s something else trying to reach the Drifters, and seems to be directing the warps. Something that sounds and feels… Broken.

It quickly becomes clear that the moon itself is trying to make contact with the Drifters. Though there’s some extra problems with all of this. Mainly in the form of a miasma that can induce monster changes and a berserk state… And a pack of Gore Magala emitting it.

The end of this trip eventually becomes clear, as the Convoy approaches a broken crater. Which carries the remains of the half shattered moon, and will be where the last month of our end game takes place in June!

And that is our planned route for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

We’ve finally arrived at the gates of Nirvana… Though it’s clear that all is not well. The walls have left over security systems that try firing on the Convoy… Though they are quickly disarmed by something inside Nirvana. (And possibly an angry robot t-rex and hacker minded Drifters.)

Inside the city is in a state of slumber. Many of the residents are in hibernation, while a few half transformed people still patrol the streets.

There are still recordings lingering in the city to help the Drifters find answers. They can reveal all of the following:
1. The Radio Broadcaster is in hibernation, but has been using salvaged Steel Warden tech to broadcast to the Convoy. All of Nirvana went into hibernation, and called out for help… And received the Drifters.

2. Nirvana was meant to be a final sanctuary against the Calamity. Each year, the cataclysm chipped away at Nirvana.

3. The Silver Tears tried to summon the Drifters here for their own ends. But the Drifters are clearly stronger than the summoning ritual. The Convoy was sent out by Nirvana to try and pluck Drifters up and get them to Nirvana and the lands beyond.

4. Nirvana broke from the Silver Tears and Steel Wardens. They didn’t care for the extremes of either of them.

The rest of Nirvana can freely be explored, and the recordings make it clear that the Drifters should take whatever they see fit. There are assorted residents who are still in hibernation inside mechanical pods, though they exist largely for set dressing. (Set dressing that includes some pretty mean built in defenses for the pods as well, if needed.)

Nirvana also has its own defenses against Moon Warps. But when one occurs, it’s easy to see how the city is getting worn down. When a Moon Warp does occur, it interacts strangely with mirrors and reflective surfaces, and pulls in monsters from a Drifter’s home world.

After all of that (and an optional Werewolf Event Monster) the next day another broadcast is sent out. It’s a request to go beyond Nirvana, and confront the source of the Moon Warps. And Nirvana will lend as much preparation as is possible. All sorts of extra shops and salvage opens up, as the Convoy prepares for it's final-for-real-this-time leg of the journey.

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hello Drifters, we’re closing in on the endgame, but there’s a few more twists and turns left to go… And an entire series of warped lands before approaching Nirvana’s gates!

This event will double as our second to last TDM and will go up on the comms at around the 6th or 7th. (There is some final coding that needs to take place before the event itself is ready to go!) As such, the following will be available to current and new players:

The landscape itself is a mishmash of chaotic elements and ruins. Wild aether courses through the landscape and can replenish, burn, or impart angel or demon traits depending on the time of day. Ruined temples of the Silver Tears also dot the landscape, as do strange radio spires.

…And there is also the issue of a pack of robot T-rexes prowling the landscape. They blast the doctrine of the Steel Wardens from their speakers, and try to savage anything remotely monstrous looking. They are also quite formidable, requiring groups of Drifters or a monster fusion from January to properly bring them down. (Fusion itself can be achieved thanks to how warped the land is with moonshards, aether, and the like.)

It’s worth noting that people who got on the bad side of the Steel Wardens during the radio transmission from several months ago may find themselves also singled out by the Mecha T-rexes, and as such are going to need help from other people fight back. (This is player discretion based: while they can’t solo a mecha t-rex, they can also lay low behind the Convoy shields to escape their notice.)

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

There’s just a few areas left to cross before reaching Nirvana. But before that, the Convoy descends the mountains into a crystal forest.

Assorted strange effects lurk among the crystals. Including all sorts of colored rocks that can cause weird effects, such as:
Purple: Summons lightning from the sky or arcing from crystal to flesh. Can also instill feelings of agitation and restlessness.
Red: Ignites fire in the air, shoots wildfire along the ground, or in the worst case sets flesh ablaze. It can also cause aggression, fury, and reckless action.
Green: Calls wind in either gusts or razor blades of air. It can also force feelings of claustrophobia if shut inside cars or the Convoy, and a need for open spaces.
Blue: Causes flooding or spikes of ice and frostbite. Drifters may feel their emotions growing cold and reserved.
White: Heal injuries or reverse a single transformation. Also the rarest color.
Black: Results in in a transformation and furthering of monster traits.

Fae changes also are on highlight this month, to fit with the strange forest.

Depending on the time of day, crystals may also reflect things back on Drifters: at sundown the crystals reflect potential monster changes. At day they reflect things from a Drifter’s thoughts. And sometimes they reflect visions of the end of Revan.

There’s also mischievous wisps challenging vehicles to races among the forest, leading to rare white crystals as a reward.

And finally, all the commotion draws the attention of a strange, spidery materia guardian down on the Convoy, forcing a fight.

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hi everyone! This is just an early notice to help Kay out. But due to RL circumstances, January will be a Check-In Month as well! Of course you can still turn in AC as you wish!

Kay will be making a more official post when she has a moment to catch her breath, but feel free to work this into your plans!

Hello Drifters, and welcome to 2026! We are slowly but surely entering our ending half of the game. This means there will be Apps for January, March, and May this year before hitting the end game!

Also due to the post-holiday dizziness and fugue, we are consolidating our event and TDM posts into one large event post on January 8th. This will be posted to the memes comm, and as is with all TDMs will continue to be canon for the game.

In the meantime, we have a fortress to explore and shelter in during intense winter storms. The fortress itself is full of energy from moon shards, and is causing some strange power shifts in the Drifters. Undead will be the theme of the monsters for this month… Along with a new mechanic in the form of monster fusion. Meaning that characters can combine their monster forms into a bigger beast to take on larger scale threats. Not at all unlike certain fusion dances from assorted media/fandoms.

The Convoy will also be refueling at this station, offering a glimpse into tech that refines moonshards into fuel. It is advised not to come into prolonged contact with the fuel however, given the fact these things are made from concentrated moon energy. (Or you can, just be braced for lots of trait activation, ravenous hunger, etc.) The fortress itself is also wracked with elemental extremes, as are the surrounding wilds. Fire and ice suffuse different rooms of the fortress, adding a challenge to exploring the ruins.

But eventually the storm breaks, and characters can see down the mountains... And see a strange shape on the horizon that could very well be Nirvana. And it is perhaps two months away.

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

WELL, here we are everyone! Someway, somehow, we've made it to December and the last month of the year. As a reminder, AC is optional and check-in for December much as it was for December. It's a very busy time of the year, and no point in adding more stress for people. If you wish to do AC Rewards and the like, feel free. But otherwise, please don't worry about Activity Checks for this month! Go forth and enjoy (or survive!) the holiday season.

With that said, here's what we've got planned for December!

Full of monsters, frostbite, hostile mountains, and lots of snow.

As for RP, this month the Convoy will be climbing up an imposing and snow wrapped mountain. There’s going to be obstacles in the form of weather, and elements raging out of control; fire and ice are both warring, and even take on the forms of monsters in the form of Lunagaron and Glavenus having a turf battle. This turf battle can cause avalanches, fire storms, the odd Banbaro stampede… And even affect the Drifters with Elemental and Raiju event transformations. It’s also possible to pick up fire and ice elemental powers on top of everything else!

Beyond that, the storms grow steadily worse as the month goes by. And the Convoy fuel continues to drop down to dangerously low levels. Though thankfully, there’s a structure looming near the summit, that should be able to provide shelter and fuel… Though that will be an arrival for next time!

One more odd little quirk about the ascent up the mountains this month. The radios pick up a peculiar quirk as the snow storms grow worse midway through the month.

A radio broadcast comes in from the Mysterious Radio Host, though it is extremely weak… And apparently prone to hijacking, as two other voices cut in to make contact with the Drifters. These voices can quickly be identified as a Steel Warden and Silver Tear and judging by their tone, they are people with some clout and some interest in the Drifters.

The signal is growing worse as the storm ramps up. But Drifters will have time to get one or two questions and comments from one of the speakers, before the signal cuts out completely. ((Read, we can manage a 5ish comment chain for characters!))

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hello Drifters and welcome to November! First off, we have an announcement for November and December: due to the business of the holiday season, there will be no Activity Checks for November and December. You may opt to still turn in AC for reward points, but is strictly optional. Also due to player feedback, we are going to shift the TDM and EMP forward to the 8th of the month this time around, to see how that goes!

Due to the altered schedule, it’s probably for the best that we get started right away at the start of the month! We'll be trying to get the event post up and running on the 3rd or the 4th of November, a little ahead of schedule.

Now, onto the plot!

THE CARNIVAL BREAK OUT:
The first half of this event covers the ending of the Carnival, which is about to come to a very violent end. Due to player actions taken, the following occurs:
Sephiroth and Maggie along with anyone else with fire breathing sets portions of the tents ablaze. Despite the best efforts of the ghosts, these fires quickly spread out of control and seem spurred on by an extra force.
Akechi’s illusions add extra confusion, allowing more characters chances to escape, retreat, or bust others out, and adding to the chaos as the Carnival comes to an end.
Vincent, Jack, and The Lads are able to set up in a safe house in all of this, to better ride out the destruction.
Maggie is able to release carnival monsters from their cages, adding to the chaos.
Donnie is able to locate the changed/disguised trucks of the Convoy using his goggles, and discerning just how magic saturated the carnival is, compared to the Convoy. He’s also able to tell when the magic shifts and grows more chaotic.
Serph investigates the changed Convoy and figuring out how to revert it, as well as what’s going on with the storm that seems to cloak the carnival. As a consequence, he’s able to notice when the weather starts to shift.

All of this happens as the storm overhead grows more powerful, and lightning strikes the main tent. The big top goes up in flames, while a whirlwind manifests and begins tearing the carnival apart… Though curiously it doesn’t touch the trucks of the Convoy, which begin to shift back. From there, it’s time to outrace and escape the destruction via cars, bikes, and trucks!

FARMLANDS:
In the aftermath of the carnival, Drifters manage to escape into nearby temperate forests dotted with farmlands. There’s some left over enchantments lingering in the Convoy and in Drifter vehicles. Various bugs and glitches crop up in the vehicles, causing them to misbehave. This includes cars driving off on their own, sounding their horns, or even locking Drifters inside their vehicles. Shards of husk monsters, moon stones, or just whacking the steering wheel can help expel those quirks!

There’s also various farms to recover in, or lay low as needed. Many of the farms are fused with space observatories, holding both records of the moon, and food.

Along with that, the farmlands have experienced multiple moon warps: this has affected the livestock, turning them to monsters. Edible monsters, but still hostile to Drifters. The produce in the fields can also be harvested, but there are scarecrows on watch. These scarecrows manifest the fears of anyone who makes eye contact with them, and the fears gradually become more real the longer Drifters are in the scarecrow’s line of sight.

Finally, we have Kitsune and Taurus as our event monsters for the month! They will also be present on the TDM, where a new batch of Steel Wardens show up to try and hunt monsters!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hello Drifters, and welcome to our special spooky-tacular October special! To celebrate this month of ghouls and ghosts, we have a special event planned for the game.

For starters, ALL MONSTERS ARE ACTIVE FOR THIS EVENT. Want to mess around with Vampire, Angel, Demon, or some of the other monsters we haven’t featured yet? Go ahead! Same with revisiting monsters we’ve previously featured! All monster traits and forms are discounted this month as well! We are treating everything as an event monster this week.

Second, it is Spooky Circus Time! This month the Convoy will be waylaid by a supernatural circus full of ghostly phantoms. All of them see the Drifters as a new attraction or customers to the carnival, and intend to see them perform (or squeeze business from.) Whether that’s through combat matches, big top performances, or as a freak show.

Still, it’s possible for Drifters to break out of the performance and wander the carnival as guests instead, getting their fortunes told or the like. The Convoy itself has been converted to cages, attractions, and even a rollercoaster instead of cars, so Drifters are stuck at the carnival for the month.

This said, if Drifters wish to undermine the circus or find a way to escape its clutches, we would love to hear about it; the big break out from the circus will occur at the start of November! We would like player characters to have an impact on how that escape goes!

Finally, we have Two RNG Prompts this month. If you would like to inject a little randomness into this event or your monster choice, feel free to use these!
The first is randomized monster forms for the month. This is part of the Freak and Peek prompt: Drifters will find themselves as part of the menagerie and stared at by ghostly specters. Looking back forces a new monster form: you will be given two choices per result, but also imparts a vision from the ghost. We’ve tied monster forms and visions together for this. PLEASE COMMENT TO BELOW if you would like to get a random monster form and vision! (Also please note that if you already have monster stuff you want to do, you do not need to use this prompt! This is just if you can’t decide and would like something random!)
Our second RNG is in the form of strange fortunes and tarot card readings. Drifters will get a hint of history, as well as an odd magic quirk following them for the rest of the month. This is not as severe as a monster transformation, but still provides some color to the events. PLEASE COMMENT BELOW for randomized fortune and quirks!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

We’re also using this as our OOC Intro for new players as well!

Hello Drifters, and welcome to the Badlands! Harsh temperatures, sandy deserts, and towering red rocks make up this section of the trip… Along with the odd structure fused into the rocks. For whatever reason, the Moon Warps have caused various libraries and data bases to become part of the canyons.

Drifters can examine these data bases to learn various things about the world of Revan; history of the world, hunting logs from the Steel Wardens, how to tune up machines or modify the Convoy, etc. Sometimes these books offer a clarifying touch which can restore a Drifter’s mental state. But there are also hazards in the library, in the form of Husk monsters, and even the potential for other books to transform Drifters into monsters.

This includes our Event Monster for this month, the Sphinx. We will also be giving special attention to Manticore as well! Both these monsters are closely linked to guardianship, knowledge, and protecting places. In some cases, the libraries almost want to keep the transformed Drifters here, acting as protectors.

There are also rampant storms sweeping through the canyon, though bold Drifters can modify their vehicles to catch the lightning and use it to power the Convoy. This means no more powering down the electronics, and the machines can run all night!

There is an extra hazard with the canyon; the rocks can sing and reflect various sounds back on Drifters, once again from their pasts. This can renew the Haunting Echo from last month. But there’s a price to all this, as this time Drifters are susceptible to a Dark Echo. (Particularly if they have been out exposed to thunder storms!) This can potentially overload a Drifter’s mind and cause them to develop amnesia. There are two outcomes to this:
Reset: wipes memories back to the Drifter’s original canon point, with no recall of the game events they’ve taken part in.
Blank Slate: makes Drifters believe they’ve ALWAYS been a monster, and their traits have always been a part of them; or that it’s natural for them to be manifesting.
These effects can wear off through magic, cleansing touch, restorative waters, or the passage of time… Though the later will take an extra month to wear off.

Finally, Drifters can find a Desert Oasis at the bottom of the canyon with restoring waters. These waters can either revert a transformation, heal injuries, or restore a Drifter’s mind… But it’s advised to fill up quickly, given the cactuars swarming the area.

For our TDM this month, new arrivals will be dealing with extreme temperatures up on top of the mesas and canyons, as well as the Event Monsters… And swarms of unfriendly Husk Monsters! We’ll also be posting an EMP once the second Saturday of the month rolls around!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hello Drifters, time to buckle up and cross some mountains! After the chaos of the city, this month is fairly straight forward: follow the road up and over the mountains, to whatever lays on the other side.

Which isn’t to say it will be an easy trip. There’s still hazards, and spooky things present. And so many draconic creatures.

Starting with our Monster Shift for the month: Dragon will be the one event monster this month. Drifters will also have an option for dragon-esque traits in the form of elemental breath from the Haunting Echo event: in short, the radio will start playing moments from the Drifter’s past, whether that is conversations, memories of music, etc. These past recordings may inspire emotions in the Drifters, leading to elemental breath based on those emotions could manifest. Passionate emotions = fire, Sorrowful emotions = ice, and Excited = Lightning. There is also no shortage of dragon Husk monsters in the mountains this month, who may pass their affliction onto other Drifters!

There’s also three other quirks to the mountain. The first is an odd tunnel that can allow Drifters to warp to any prior location the Convoy has visited for several hours. Useful for backtracking, or getting lost. The second is a storm on the summit that requires radio tower tunning to disperse. And the third is an abandoned factory that once produced Chromehounds, and still has a few old models working, which can also drain a transformation off Drifters before violently exploding.

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

We’re also using this as our OOC Intro for new players as well!

Hello Drifters and welcome to July… And to an abandoned city! Specifically the remains and ruins of Crescent City; it’s a place that has seen better days, but has plenty of leftover shops for salvaging and buildings for exploring. Drifters will be able to harvest fuel, metal, and tires for the Convoy, and potentially other items from nearby shops, depending on player plans! (Those who have been mourning the lack of clothing materials, the long hours the one Convoy tailor has to work, or new shirts might get their time to shine here, with raiding old clothing stores!)

But the city is not without hazards, in the form of cyborg hunters and Husk monsters alike! Turf wars rage through the city between both factions, now running on fumes and on instinct. It’s easy to get caught in the cross fire, but also easy to either escape or defeat these weakened threats.

To help (or hurt) with surviving this ruined city, Gargoyle and Cerberus will be our event monsters for this month! There will also be an active moon warp this month, to add to the chaos. Drifters afflicted with these monsters may also feel a call to the sky scraper summit, or the depths of the subway system. Both locations hold dangers in the form of Major Threat monsters; a cyborg robot Cerberus in the subway, and a living building monster in the sky scraper.

This building monster will also feature in the TDM this month as a main event, along with the Gargoyle and Cerberus forms! Meanwhile, the Cy-Cerberus will be an even monster for the log, which will go up in a few days.

Schedule wise, the event post is going up on 6th. A little bit early this time around! The TDM will be on July 15th. And we will also try and get an ATP/EMP up on July 12th!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hello everyone, and welcome to Route 666 and our newest OOC Intro and Mingle post! We're going to experiment also have this double as our June Plotting Post!

As for the plot of June... Welcome to the Riverlands! As the name implies, this stretch of Revan is covered with rivers and lakes. The Convoy will be doing plenty of bridge crossings, and even the odd river fording.

This said, the main river here carries a supernatural quirk: they can reflect regrets and secrets when a Drifter crosses them. Submerging waist deep or further into the river can also activate trait changes, or completely change a Drifter into something more aquatic. Unsurprisingly, Merfolk be our featured monster for this month!

The Convoy is carrying some dents from last month, and eventually the damage catches up to it; for most of the month, the Convoy Shield will be broken. Drifters will be exposed to the full call of the moon, monster attacks on the Convoy and the vehicles at night, etc. This said there is a fix for this problem: the nearby ruins in a lake holds a generator that can be used to power the shield.

The generator is in pieces, inside an abandoned (and half drowned) power plant in the middle of a lake. The main river feeds into this lake, keeping the prior effects active. The power plant itself has all sorts of strange, hazardous rooms storing the generator pieces to navigate.

Since the power plant is half drowned, there’s plenty of flooded hallways for Merfolk to navigate through, to help find the pieces. Once taken back to the Convoy, it’s possible to lend a hand with assembling the pieces and installing them, and finally get a working shield back by the end of the month!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Welcome everyone to May, and our next round of TDM and Apps! This month we’re leaving behind one weird region and entering an equally strange location; the Convoy slowly rolls into a massive valley where gravity just doesn’t work like it should.

Parts of the land float in strange islands, as do trees and even Husks. This includes the remnants of an old battle ground between monsters and more of those metal cyborg soldiers; all of which are dead, but capable of being looted and investigated.

The buildings are also effected, with the odd ruins growing upside down out of the earth, and the interiors constantly twisting and turning. The buildings have also been mashed together, with various strange research facilities bleeding into hospitals, schools, and the like. All manner of strange monsters wander these lands… And one monster in particular is going to cause some interesting effects.

As Drifters wander through the valley, they have high odds of coming in contact with strange glowing sage brush. This brush will incur various telepathic effects on characters.
Blue Glow: Makes Drifters more empathetic in a psychic sense. They can register the emotions of those nearby, and may start to feel those same emotions.
Green Glow: Makes Drifters capable of projecting their emotions onto other people. Like empathy in reverse! This can range from a slight buzz of emotion to fully magnified and mirrored emotions. (Note: Please talk this effect out with other players in advance!)
Purple Glow: Gives Drifters telepathy, to hear and send thoughts to those nearby.
Orange Glow: Grants Drifters limited psychometry. (Object reading.) This is perhaps the most sporadic of the powers, fluctuating strangely and only working on an object or two per Drifter.
Drifters will also find that they can link dreams and share them… Though eventually those dreams can easily become nightmares. And nightmares can transform Drifters, if they are severe enough. The nightmares presage an attack of Intellect Devourers at the end of the month, which swarm the camp! It’ll be a task to repel them.

Psychometry Reading
In addition, those who gain psychometry and try reading objects in this location can take part in our second RNG event! Please comment to the “Psychometry Readings” below, and specify whether your character will be using psychometry in either the battle ground or the hospital ruins. We will then roll up one of seven prompts for each one, and give you the resulting vision to play with!

Event Monster: Swarm
To top it all off, we also have Swarm traits active this month, to further roll with the psionic angle! When our TDM goes up, we’ll continue with Swarm traits, and further delve into the hospital ruins with more exploration. And a little more gravity shenanigans. We’ll see you then!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

APRIL STATE OF THE GAME

Hello everyone! We are now four months into the game, and hopefully things are still going well for everyone! Since it’s now April, it’s also time to do a quick State of the Game!

Right now we have a little over thirty players in the game! Which is pretty staggering that we have that number; so thank you everyone for giving this game a shot, and we hope you continue to enjoy the game, events, CR, etc.

Our next Application round will be next month! Since the paired ATP/EMP with the official Enable Me Plz worked out well last time, we’ll be trying to do that again in May; it will be on the 10th this time around, and the TDM will go up on the 15th. This said if anyone has suggestions, feel free to list them!

Also a big thanks to Kei for assisting with AC and lists! This is a big help for running the game.

Thanks to a player suggestion, we’re also going to do a new Monster planning meme on April 20th; where people can discuss potential traits, and bounce RP plans off of others.

Last of all, we’re doing some quick notes on AC:
+Please have your five comments for either Activity Check OR Activity rewards be from one single thread. Please do not count stray comments in other threads and add them together for five comments.
+Likewise, the thread top levels/posts/etc count for AC/Rewards one time. This and the above ruling are to encourage five comment threads for everyone involved, so people who tag in have a shot at making their check or gaining rewards!
+We will be more strict with this going forward. For people who had counting errors in their AC, we won’t ask you to walk back or make edits to your AC. But please be mindful of this from here on.
+We have slightly changed how AC points are calculated, which is reflected in our new template. You will no longer earn a separate point for passing AC. Instead, every 5 comments per thread, including the 5 comments required to pass AC, will give you 1 point.
+The amount of points you earn each month is unchanged! We have simply streamlined the points calculation process, which we hope will help everyone remember to claim all the points they earned.

Thank you once again everyone for tuning in! As always, Mod Contact or comments below are open for feedback/suggestions/etc.

Hello everyone, and welcome to our new players! This is our second Route 666 OOC Intro and Mingle post! We're also using this as our April Plotting Post!

APRIL EVENT

ACROSS THE THORN SCRUB
Hello Drifters and welcome to April’s plotting post! We’re taking a break from TDM and Apps this month to focus on a story event and unique location: the thorn brush wastelands, and the strange Tower that stretches towards the sky and takes up the scenery.

First off, we have unique properties from the Tower. As long as it is visible (and it will be visible all month) any wounds a Drifter takes will trigger transformations and trait activation! Drifters can either select from their own pre-selected traits, or they can choose from two event monsters with Chimera and Unicorn! Notably, Chimera monsters will have be able to incorporate these new changes, while Unicorns will be able to heal wounds and staunch any transformations.

The terrain is also going to be causing plenty of bleeding hazards, in the form of thorns, razor brush, and plenty of angry (and twisted) wildlife. Early in the month, there will also be an attack on the Convoy, in the form of cyborg hunters and raiders who are determined to cause death and damages... But who will also be carrying a smorgasbord of electronics, guns, and bullets to loot.

We’ll also be dealing with Moon Warps changing the scenery and making it chaotic, and eventually bringing the Tower down at the end of the month!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

PLAYER MINGLE

Hey, folks! I'm here to offer food for all the detectives, researchers, and nosy puzzle-solvers.

With March's event, characters can find ominous written messages from John's canon. Half the notes form a warning about John's secret evil backstory, and the other half recite a spooky poem in an alien script. All can grant eldritch visions to whoever holds and reads them. Feel free to treat this as an IC background project, an excuse for nerd collaboration, or a way to worsen your character's mental corruption!

This is optional March content that can safely be ignored. To claim a note, just comment below. Thanks!

Hello Drifters, and welcome to the March Plotting Post!

March marks a busy month for the game: we’ll be holding our main game event around the 5th or the 7th (depending on schedules!) an ATP/EMP timed for the 8th to go up alongside the EMP comm post, and our second Test Drive Meme on the 15th!

As a reminder, players may tag either the game event OR TDM posts as they wish! If you post a top level in the TDM, please mark in the subject line that you are Currently In-Game. Both for the ease of book keeping, and to help new players figure out who is who! With this said, onto the major stops this month:

With the forest behind them the Convoy makes its way onto the grasslands. Powerlines dot the landscape, decorated with paper scraps. These papers contain messages from home, and can help stabilize Drifters from the effects of last month’s Moon Warp.

While on the move Drifters will encounter the ruins of old homes and stores, with plenty of Husks scattered around these dwellings. While the ruins can provide supplies and shelters, getting too close to the Husks can prompt either monster spawns from the Husks, or behavior changes in Drifters. (Your character may feel restless, on edge, and/or showing a psychological monster trait.) The Convoy has a fix for this in the form of a song played from speakers, but this only works when the Convoy is close at hand.

In addition there will be encounters with a new monster called bull gorgons, which can be harvested for meat but not without a fight! At the end of the month, the terrain will also get more marshy, and will be the perfect spot for a zolom attack. That’s right, the Final Fantasy 7 snake kaiju is going to make an appearance, and they hunt in a pack!

We’re also pleased to announce this is our first event monster month. And this month will be centered around the Harpy and Naga species. A monster transforming storm is going to rage through the grasslands. It temporarily (ie, for one month) imparts traits from one of these monsters if any Drifter stumbles into the storm. This will occur in both the main comms, and the TDM, so feel free to play either way!

As a last house keeping note, we are currently short on mod staff, so feel free to take a look at the Mod Contact page if that is something that sounds interesting!

And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

Hi everyone! First of all, hope everyone is enjoying the game, even with how stressful IRL can be right now. Since we are winding down on the first (official) month of the game, and getting ready for the February activity check it’s time to a do a quick State of the Game!

First off, we have 24 players in the game right now! An amazing turn out! Thank you again everyone for your interest and passion in the game. It is wonderful to see how much people are engaging with things!

Second, Enable Me Plz will be on the 8th of March next month. This will put EMP one week ahead of the game TDM, which will be on March 15th. As such, we will try to get an ATP/EMP post on the memes, at the same time as EMP so we can link to it in the game advertisement. If anyone has further suggestions for that time frame or the ad/meme post, we’d love to hear them!

Third, as a reminder to everyone for AC:
+Please remember you automatically get one reward point for January!
+You may also log 4 other 5 comment threads from the January TDM and record those!
+You will also automatically get one reward point for doing February’s AC! Which is separate from January.
+As a reminder, we run on a 5 comment thread = 1 reward point rule. Same with passing the AC, we need 5 comments from one thread!
+Please have your AC filled out before Midnight MST on February 28th, to avoid getting swept from the game.

That wraps up our first State of the Game post! If there are further comments/concerns/feedback, feel free to comment below, or hit up the Mod Contact page. The OOC Plotting Post for March will be going up on the 1st of the month, about 1 week from now. We'll see you all then!
