November Plotting Post (EMP post arriving on the 8th!)
Hello Drifters and welcome to November! First off, we have an announcement for November and December: due to the business of the holiday season, there will be no Activity Checks for November and December. You may opt to still turn in AC for reward points, but is strictly optional. Also due to player feedback, we are going to shift the TDM and EMP forward to the 8th of the month this time around, to see how that goes!
Due to the altered schedule, it’s probably for the best that we get started right away at the start of the month! We'll be trying to get the event post up and running on the 3rd or the 4th of November, a little ahead of schedule.
Now, onto the plot!
THE CARNIVAL BREAK OUT:
The first half of this event covers the ending of the Carnival, which is about to come to a very violent end. Due to player actions taken, the following occurs:
Sephiroth and Maggie along with anyone else with fire breathing sets portions of the tents ablaze. Despite the best efforts of the ghosts, these fires quickly spread out of control and seem spurred on by an extra force.
Akechi’s illusions add extra confusion, allowing more characters chances to escape, retreat, or bust others out, and adding to the chaos as the Carnival comes to an end.
Vincent, Jack, and The Lads are able to set up in a safe house in all of this, to better ride out the destruction.
Maggie is able to release carnival monsters from their cages, adding to the chaos.
Donnie is able to locate the changed/disguised trucks of the Convoy using his goggles, and discerning just how magic saturated the carnival is, compared to the Convoy. He’s also able to tell when the magic shifts and grows more chaotic.
Serph investigates the changed Convoy and figuring out how to revert it, as well as what’s going on with the storm that seems to cloak the carnival. As a consequence, he’s able to notice when the weather starts to shift.
All of this happens as the storm overhead grows more powerful, and lightning strikes the main tent. The big top goes up in flames, while a whirlwind manifests and begins tearing the carnival apart… Though curiously it doesn’t touch the trucks of the Convoy, which begin to shift back. From there, it’s time to outrace and escape the destruction via cars, bikes, and trucks!
FARMLANDS:
In the aftermath of the carnival, Drifters manage to escape into nearby temperate forests dotted with farmlands. There’s some left over enchantments lingering in the Convoy and in Drifter vehicles. Various bugs and glitches crop up in the vehicles, causing them to misbehave. This includes cars driving off on their own, sounding their horns, or even locking Drifters inside their vehicles. Shards of husk monsters, moon stones, or just whacking the steering wheel can help expel those quirks!
There’s also various farms to recover in, or lay low as needed. Many of the farms are fused with space observatories, holding both records of the moon, and food.
Along with that, the farmlands have experienced multiple moon warps: this has affected the livestock, turning them to monsters. Edible monsters, but still hostile to Drifters. The produce in the fields can also be harvested, but there are scarecrows on watch. These scarecrows manifest the fears of anyone who makes eye contact with them, and the fears gradually become more real the longer Drifters are in the scarecrow’s line of sight.
Finally, we have Kitsune and Taurus as our event monsters for the month! They will also be present on the TDM, where a new batch of Steel Wardens show up to try and hunt monsters!
And that is our route planned for the month! We hope you enjoy this event, and feel free to plan in the comments below!

EVENT FAQ
Re: EVENT FAQ
You know until some drifter accidentally breaks into the henhouse and noms some from instincts.
Provided the chickens are still small. And not giant.

Re: EVENT FAQ
Qith the scarecrows, do they manifest an independent version of the fear or can they force it on the individual?
In specific example, I planned to make use of 'Vincent fears losing control of his other forms and attacking friends.' Was going to have the various monster limit breaks manifest independent but would the scarecrows be able to force Vincent to transform?
Also if they can force a transform, would they be able to cause one of his locked forms to manifest (though not as powerful as the normal ones)?

Re: EVENT FAQ
Those who took the time to copy convoy schematics and tech of Revan over from the world like Vincent from the library during canyon month, would the fuel source/description for the cars have been present?
