Hello Drifters, we’re closing in on the endgame, but there’s a few more twists and turns left to go… And an entire series of warped lands before approaching Nirvana’s gates!

This event will double as our second to last TDM and will go up on the comms at around the 6th or 7th. (There is some final coding that needs to take place before the event itself is ready to go!) As such, the following will be available to current and new players:

The landscape itself is a mishmash of chaotic elements and ruins. Wild aether courses through the landscape and can replenish, burn, or impart angel or demon traits depending on the time of day. Ruined temples of the Silver Tears also dot the landscape, as do strange radio spires.

…And there is also the issue of a pack of robot T-rexes prowling the landscape. They blast the doctrine of the Steel Wardens from their speakers, and try to savage anything remotely monstrous looking. They are also quite formidable, requiring groups of Drifters or a monster fusion from January to properly bring them down. (Fusion itself can be achieved thanks to how warped the land is with moonshards, aether, and the like.)

It’s worth noting that people who got on the bad side of the Steel Wardens during the radio transmission from several months ago may find themselves also singled out by the Mecha T-rexes, and as such are going to need help from other people fight back. (This is player discretion based: while they can’t solo a mecha t-rex, they can also lay low behind the Convoy shields to escape their notice.)

Are there just radio spires or also radio broadcast stations to perhaps poke around in and find any interesting transmissions? Favourited playlists? What music were the Steel Wardens into, the public deserves to know.

Since it's probably going to be a thing I totally did not in any way enable is there a possibility of capturing and reprogramming a mecha-rex for convoy pet?

Nnnnnot event-specific but Serph's inquired of Donnie whether it's possible to take control of the Convoy in the case that maybe they don't get answers they're hoping for once they get to Nirvana.

Donnie's said he'd look into it, would that be toeing the whole hacking thing or would he be able to get some idea of how it might be possible? Unless it will at this point unnecessarily complicate things for you then don't worry about it. Also I imagine if things are going to be progressively more chaotic then that'd be as good an excuse as any for him not to find the time or be in the right mind to do much!

OH RIGHT another question - I assume the rexes can see through illusions to some degree? How much can Alastor pull off flying under the radar by disguising himself with his old human face before he gets chased and chomped? ♥

Okay, so- demon traits are a little redundant for this guy, but angel traits would be kind of funny. That aside, Vox knows a certain somebody who would be targeted by the t-rexes and will probably run interference on that. Because getting eaten by dinosaurs sort of defeats the whole 'I'm the only one who gets to kill you' deal they made.

But yeah, he's tooootally calling dibs to use his plugs and cables to plug into and deprogram a cyber-rex. How would he pass THAT up??? But yeah, group effort and all that.


--OH, and I was thinking of a sort of mingle thing for one of Vox's movie nights, if people were interested in that sort of thing. To re-iterate, he's got movies stored in him and will either air them in the Convoy or outside of it in a drive-in style if weather and environmental conditions are safe enough for it.

So there will be uncountable moments where Alastor oh so conveniently appears around your characters-- just in time for the Rexes to stomp on through. You'll be helpful in dealing with them, won't you?

Faith did not piss off the Steel Wardens, but she will help protect the poor schmucks who did from robot dinosaurs, so if you want a Slayer rescue I'm down for that.

I may play with Demon traits a little, been a while since I dabbled in a secondary monster type for an event.

She never did the fusion thing, but I'm down for one if somebody wants to give it a shot.

Angels and chaos, you say? Max has absolutely no idea what's going on, but it's time to speedrun towards a giant, flaming wheel, BE NOT AFRAID style angel form for him. He also has regular, only slightly scary power armour made of light now, which he will be cheerfully and excitedly showing off.
