Hello everyone, and welcome to our new players! This is our second Route 666 OOC Intro and Mingle post! We're also using this as our April Plotting Post!


APRIL EVENT

ACROSS THE THORN SCRUB

Hello Drifters and welcome to April’s plotting post! We’re taking a break from TDM and Apps this month to focus on a story event and unique location: the thorn brush wastelands, and the strange Tower that stretches towards the sky and takes up the scenery.

First off, we have unique properties from the Tower. As long as it is visible (and it will be visible all month) any wounds a Drifter takes will trigger transformations and trait activation! Drifters can either select from their own pre-selected traits, or they can choose from two event monsters with Chimera and Unicorn! Notably, Chimera monsters will have be able to incorporate these new changes, while Unicorns will be able to heal wounds and staunch any transformations.

The terrain is also going to be causing plenty of bleeding hazards, in the form of thorns, razor brush, and plenty of angry (and twisted) wildlife. Early in the month, there will also be an attack on the Convoy, in the form of cyborg hunters and raiders who are determined to cause death and damages... But who will also be carrying a smorgasbord of electronics, guns, and bullets to loot.

We’ll also be dealing with Moon Warps changing the scenery and making it chaotic, and eventually bringing the Tower down at the end of the month!

Welcome to the club Danse there's not actually any goodies but he can join SecUnit in throwing all its efforts into fighting the local wildlife and cyborgs to avoid emotional and existential conversations.

God, I have no idea how Danse would react to SecUnit except that it'll be like a whole elevator panel of pushed buttons. Kind of like looking into a funhouse mirror at someone who isn't very different from him in a lot of ways, but has a completely different take on the depersonalization they're both subject to.

I'm down to see where it can go, because I think their CR could be so fascinating, but it might take a while to build because there's a lot about SecUnit that will be especially upsetting to Danse at the canon point he's coming from (everyone he cares about has abruptly started calling him "it" too, and he is not okay with that) and it's possible that he might nope out of some initial conversations fairly early until his interest prompts him to come back for more.

They'd make a great wildlife-and-cyborg-fighting team, though! Danse can handle that for sure. It is very good for focusing on to avoid existential dread.

I'd be happy with some slow build and potentially troubled CR! It's not hiding being a construct or a SecUnit - at this point it's calling itself 'SecUnit' when people ask for an introduction, so I foresee a lot of potential for things to spiral in a very interesting way.

Can work out where might make sense when the event log itself is up, but for now I'll keep an eye out for some raider fighting! Fighting is how you make introductions to new people, anyway, right?
