Hello everyone, and welcome to Route 666 and our newest OOC Intro and Mingle post! We're going to experiment also have this double as our June Plotting Post!

As for the plot of June... Welcome to the Riverlands! As the name implies, this stretch of Revan is covered with rivers and lakes. The Convoy will be doing plenty of bridge crossings, and even the odd river fording.

This said, the main river here carries a supernatural quirk: they can reflect regrets and secrets when a Drifter crosses them. Submerging waist deep or further into the river can also activate trait changes, or completely change a Drifter into something more aquatic. Unsurprisingly, Merfolk be our featured monster for this month!

The Convoy is carrying some dents from last month, and eventually the damage catches up to it; for most of the month, the Convoy Shield will be broken. Drifters will be exposed to the full call of the moon, monster attacks on the Convoy and the vehicles at night, etc. This said there is a fix for this problem: the nearby ruins in a lake holds a generator that can be used to power the shield.

The generator is in pieces, inside an abandoned (and half drowned) power plant in the middle of a lake. The main river feeds into this lake, keeping the prior effects active. The power plant itself has all sorts of strange, hazardous rooms storing the generator pieces to navigate.

Since the power plant is half drowned, there’s plenty of flooded hallways for Merfolk to navigate through, to help find the pieces. Once taken back to the Convoy, it’s possible to lend a hand with assembling the pieces and installing them, and finally get a working shield back by the end of the month!

Character Name: Jack Russell
Canon: MCU/Werewolf By Night
Character Info: A friendly werewolf who is turning into a kitsune. He already has fox ears, six tails, and some cool magic powers. He spends his non-driving time either snoozing with his two semi-boyfriends or repairing or laundering people's clothes in his little tailor's shop.
Monster Plans: He has recently picked up the outside-monster trait Pack Link, where he can make an empathic connection with close CR. His semi-boyfriends are definitely gonna feel that this month, but other people he's close to are open for it as well if wished!
Event Plans: Jack's reflection is definitely going to be the werewolf. Which is basically him covered in fur and with pointy ears and teeth, so, y'know. Not super interesting. His regrets will mostly manifest as either people he's killed trailing behind him, or a silver-haired thirteen year old watching him with accusing eyes.
Extra: No gifs here, I am boring and also Jack's canon is like 50 minutes long. Not a ton to work with :|

RP STUFF!
Character Name: Jolie Harmony
Canon: Odd Thomas
Character Info: A fourteen year old girl with TraumaTM and a plucky attitude. She's trying really hard to learn how to fight so nobody has to protect her ever again.
Monster Plans: Jolie's turning into a faerie from the Hunt, strongly plant-coded, and I hope to go full antlered, bark-skinned, implacable hunter for the moon warp if it works out okay.
Event Plans: I'm definitely aiming to foreshadow Hunter Jolie in her reflection, and her biggest and frankly only regret will be the image of a blonde little boy, maybe eight or nine, clearly stabbed multiple times and staring at Jolie with big, confused, betrayed eyes.
Extra: Absolutely looking for people to keep teaching her how to fight, try to adopt her, or her try to protect herself (and probably fail, but still, it's the thought that counts).

I feel like one or the other getting into danger would be the most natural way to activate it somehow, but I'm also kind of charmed by the thought of it just happening sometime when SecUnit inevitably has to get Jack's help with its jacket again just as a more downtime friendship thing

We can see how the event goes and whether Jack winds up actually in trouble, but I also really like the idea of it just being casual too, haha.

...and also he'll be on fire in some capacity soon and surely that will not make a friendship with a plant-coded faerie awkward, oops.

And I am amused by the idea of "do not set my plants ON FIRE you jerk!" interactions. Though Jolie admittedly is not necessarily like... friends with plants. They're just very talkative >.>
