January Plotting Post!

Hello Drifters, and welcome to 2026! We are slowly but surely entering our ending half of the game. This means there will be Apps for January, March, and May this year before hitting the end game!
Also due to the post-holiday dizziness and fugue, we are consolidating our event and TDM posts into one large event post on January 8th. This will be posted to the memes comm, and as is with all TDMs will continue to be canon for the game.
In the meantime, we have a fortress to explore and shelter in during intense winter storms. The fortress itself is full of energy from moon shards, and is causing some strange power shifts in the Drifters. Undead will be the theme of the monsters for this month… Along with a new mechanic in the form of monster fusion. Meaning that characters can combine their monster forms into a bigger beast to take on larger scale threats. Not at all unlike certain fusion dances from assorted media/fandoms.
The Convoy will also be refueling at this station, offering a glimpse into tech that refines moonshards into fuel. It is advised not to come into prolonged contact with the fuel however, given the fact these things are made from concentrated moon energy. (Or you can, just be braced for lots of trait activation, ravenous hunger, etc.) The fortress itself is also wracked with elemental extremes, as are the surrounding wilds. Fire and ice suffuse different rooms of the fortress, adding a challenge to exploring the ruins.
But eventually the storm breaks, and characters can see down the mountains... And see a strange shape on the horizon that could very well be Nirvana. And it is perhaps two months away.
